{"id":5184,"date":"2019-05-19T06:37:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-19T06:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.price2spy.com\/blog\/?p=5184"},"modified":"2020-10-27T15:38:28","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T15:38:28","slug":"price2spy-introduces-price-index-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.price2spy.com\/blog\/price2spy-introduces-price-index-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Price2Spy introduces Price Index report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Price2Spy clients are already familiar with the fact that we do not only collect raw pricing data, but also give you multiple reporting mechanisms you can use to analyze the data.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why we decided to implement a brand new report in our <strong>Reports<\/strong> and <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> tabs.<\/p>\n<p>From now on, you can select a <strong>Price Index<\/strong> report and analyze the price index based on\u00a0<strong>Average price,<\/strong> <strong>Minimum competitor price, Maximum competitor price,<\/strong> <strong>Targeted price\u00a0<\/strong>or<strong>\u00a0My Price<\/strong> per site on a\u00a0<strong>daily<\/strong>, <strong>weekly<\/strong> or <strong>monthly <\/strong>basis for\u00a0the selected date range.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Price Index?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To put it simply, the price index is a measure of how the prices from a particular site stand compared to 2 other websites offering the same products. So, for example, if your product has the price that is exactly equal to the average of all websites, then its price index would be 100. If your product is 10% more expensive than the average, your price index would be 110, however, If your product is 5% cheaper than the average, then your price index would be 95.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the Price index chart will show you how the index based on <strong>Average price,<\/strong> <strong>Minimum competitor price, Maximum competitor price, Targeted price <\/strong>or<strong> My Price<\/strong> for each website evolved over time.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We strongly recommend you to use the Price index while applying filter either by category or by brand &#8211; in order to analyze the pricing behavior of your competitors&#8217; in a segmented way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> To run the Price Index report, please pick the report, select either you want to see the report based on &#8216;Average price&#8217;, &#8216;Minimum competitor price&#8217;, &#8216;Maximum competitor price&#8217;, &#8216;Targeted price&#8217;\u00a0 or &#8216;My price&#8217; and click on the &#8216;Show report in browser&#8217; button.<\/p>\n<p>Once you run it, you\u2019ll see a chart shows a line per site that showing average price index, day by day.
