Price2Spy introduces a new report: Product price deviations

New Price2Spy features 4.11.2016. Reading Time: 2 minutes

Everyone who uses Price2Spy knows that we do not only collect pricing data, but also give you multiple reporting mechanisms you can use to analyze the data.

That’s why we decided to implement a new report in our Reports and Dashboard tabs.

From now on you can select a Product price deviation report and analyze the competitors whose prices are too off in comparison with the selected reference price.

All you need to do is choose the Product price deviations report and select the following criteria:

  1. percentage of deviation
  2. analysis of cheaper or more expensive products
  3. a reference price (my price, average price, minimal / maximal price, price from a specific site)

deviations

You’ll receive a list of sites and a number of products per every site affected by the chosen parameters.

You get see additional information by clicking on the site name – a list of affected products will appear.

products-deviationThis report can be both Saved and Automated.

You can also create a Product price deviations widget according to the same principles on your Dashboard.

Click on the site name and you will see a preview of the affected products.

What’s interesting to point out is that this is the first time Price2Spy implements a report that can give you a head-to-head analysis of 2 competitors (beside the usual ‘me and my competitors’ logic). You can easily see if Site A is cheaper / more expensive from Site B (selected as a reference) by a certain percentage.

Why is this report useful?

  1. You can spot all prices that are suspiciously lower / higher than the reference price
  2. You can compare 2 competitors’ prices independently from your own site
  3. You will be able to see which prices are off in comparison with the Targeted price – coming soon!
