Have you heard about ESIC University and ESIC Business and Marketing School from Spain? Well, if you’re a part of the Marketing world, then it’s almost impossible that you haven’t.

ESIC is a leading private business university in Spain (and recognized worldwide) with more than 55 years of experience in educating business professionals.

As you already know, our clients are eCommerce professionals. Hence, the majority of our clients are using Price2Spy to improve their business and overall market position. But, besides these regular collaborations, we’re very happy to take part in something different too. Our collaboration with ESIC University might look a bit strange, but only at the first sight.

Let’s explain why.

The collaboration between ESIC University and Price2Spy

ESIC’s motto is that the best way of foreseeing the future is by actively creating, leveraging knowledge and available digital tools. That’s why they’re so dedicated to educating young professionals who would be able to answer the challenges of today’s business world. One of those challenges is staying competitive in the eCommerce environment.

In order to overcome this, companies are looking for employees who have a good understanding of market conditions and pricing strategies. Therefore, ESIC Bachelors’ Degree program in Marketing has a Pricing course, and they’ve decided to further improve it through the active use of professional tools by students.

And what could be a better way of improving it, if not through a collaboration with one of the best price monitoring tools!

A couple of weeks ago, we received an interesting inquiry:

ESIC approached us saying that last year, some students tested price tracking software as a project within their Pricing courses and Price2Spy is the eCommerce tracking tool that worked best! Students who tried it out were very satisfied (they also tested a couple of our competitors to track prices on eCommerce).

This experience has led ESIC to ask this year’s students to subscribe for a test license and use a price tracking tool for course purposes. Of course, the students had the liberty of choosing other tools as well, but since the school got so good results during the previous year, their recommendation was Price2Spy. The assignment was to track some products of their choice and present the results after the trial period.

Our usual approach is to offer a Demo to all of our potential clients in order to familiarize them with our tool. However, doing the same for all 3rd year students on the Pricing course would be a bit difficult.

Therefore, our suggestion was to introduce students to our price tracking software through webinars. The aim was to enable students to start tracking prices with Price2Spy as part of a course project.

During the training, our support team provided all the necessary support, and we hope that students will successfully use Price2Spy. Of course, we’re here to answer any questions during this process.

Last but not least, we would like to mention that Price2Spy is free for educational purposes

Ideas for the future

This is not the first time that we’re offering Price2Spy services for educational purposes. We believe that educating young professionals about the power of eCommerce in today’s world is a prerequisite for creating potential future clients. Having said that, we would like to invite other universities to follow the ESIC example.

We’re looking forward to having more successful collaborations in the future! And who knows, maybe we get some useful recommendations and ideas from ESIC students about improving Price2Spy. Price2Spy loves to learn too! 🙂
